Application & Care

Our recommended application for DTF Transfers by Wellington House is:

• Time: 12-15 seconds
• Temperature: 290°F / 144°C
• Pressure: Medium (#5 on Hotronix heat press)
1. Preheat for 3-5 seconds
2. Press DTF Transfer for 12-15 seconds
3. Peel: Hot or Cold
4. Optional: Cover with kraft paper and press for extra 5 seconds for a matte finish and superior hand

TIP: If peeling hot, peel the film off in a VERY QUICK motion. Peeling too slowly may result in your transfer lifting and tearing. If you're still having trouble, try peeling from a different direction. If any corners or edges lift up, carefully lay them back down and press again for 5-10 seconds. If all else fails, wait for the transfer to cool completely and peel cold.

Our recommended application for UV DTF Stickers by Wellington House is:

1. Clean and dry the surface you are applying to
2. With the sticker face up, start at a corner and slowly peel apart the clear plastic layers
3. Position the sticker exactly where you want it. Press FIRMLY in the center and rub outwards to the edges to ensure proper adhesion and remove any air bubbles. NOTE: Sticker is permanent and it will not be possible to reposition or remove easily.
4. Slowly peel the edge of the clear plastic at a sharp angle (folding it back on itself). If a piece or edge of the sticker lifts up, press the clear film back down over that spot, rub it firmly, and then continue peeling the clear film away slowly.

The following isn't a complete list of every combination of laundering scenarios, detergents, etc... These are generally the ideal care conditions to make your DTF transfers last after they're applied. We always recommend testing a single application on your particular garment before producing multiple pieces.

Our recommended laundering instructions after applying "DTF by Wellington" transfers:

• Wait 24 hours before washing
• Machine wash cold
• Tumble dry low
• Do not bleach or dry clean

The following is the recommended care instructions for UV DTF Stickers:

• Wait to wash: Allow sticker adhesive to cure 24 hours after applying before the first wash for best results
• Hand wash only: Wash with gentle soap and a soft sponge or cloth
• Do not soak: Leaving an item submerged with a UV DTF Sticker can affect the durability and longevity of the sticker & adhesive
• Avoid harsh cleaning: Do not use harsh or strong chemicals like bleach, which can damage the sticker
• Skip the microwave: Do not microwave items with UV DTF Stickers
• Limit sun exposure: Long periods of exposure to direct sunlight can cause colors to fade over time
• Avoid high heat: High temperatures can affect the adhesive, resulting in failure or damage to the sticker
